Public Engagement & Dialogue
Work across public institutions, civil society, translation and public scholarship.
My work extends beyond academia through public scholarship, intercultural and interreligious dialogue, translation, and collaboration with public institutions and civil-society organisations.
Across these different contexts, I have been interested in how knowledge, language and institutional practice shape questions of migration, participation and belonging.
Areas of engagement
Public scholarship
Public-facing writing and independent initiatives that make academic debates on inequality, representation and institutional culture more accessible beyond specialist audiences.
Dialogue & policy
Experience in migration, integration and intercultural dialogue through work with public institutions and international initiatives, including the Austrian Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs and the Austrian Integration Fund.
Translation & languages
Translation, interpreting and editorial work across German, English and Urdu/Hindi, as well as selected work involving Arabic-language materials in educational and civil-society contexts.
Civil society engagement
Collaboration with organisations working in the fields of migration, gender, displacement and support for survivors of war, torture and trafficking, including Hemayat and LEFÖ.
My experience spans academic, governmental and civil-society contexts, with a particular focus on migration, integration, intercultural dialogue, translation and community engagement.
